Work is taking a large part of time these days - my boss is off so besides my job, a co-worker and I are taking turns going to pointless meetings.
Spent Monday loading semis bound for the Gulf. Its tiring and boring, so many fun discussions fell out - the best was what's the best non-classic Elvis Costello album. I had to go with Punch the Clock cause the songs are great even if the production is a little over the top. The bigger debate was what defined a classic one. I maintain that King Of America is classic. This went on for hours. Other observations include that if the Tragically Hip, a pop band from Canada, can figure out that New Orleans is in a precarious position in 1989, why didn't the president of the united states understand this when a catagory 5 storm is heading its way. By the end of the day, a friend was handing out bumperstickers that said "Wrong Gulf Stupid". Also, I had forgot how very good grilled hot dogs and lemonade taste after a hard day of work.
Had my driver's side rearview mirror torn off on I-71 in Cleveland - you don't realize how easy it is to fix a car and how much of a rip off mechanics are until you do some investigation. Estimate on the fix - $300. Going online and getting a part sent to your door that attaches with 3 screws - $32. God bless ebay.
